February Half Term in Surrey 2024

If you’re looking for things to do this February half term in Surrey then you have come to the right place. You may be looking for a lovely family friendly day out or just somewhere to go for walks or you might prefer an organised event or school holiday activities, put on especially for February half term. Read on to find out everything going on in Surrey this February half term.

When is February Half Term in Surrey?

February half term 2024 in Surrey is half way through the 2024 spring term. This year the school term dates fall so that half term is Monday 12th to Friday 16th February 2024. I think it’s the same week as neighbouring counties this year but it’s worth checking as Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire often have different half term holiday dates and your school may also tak on inset days either side too. You can always check Surrey school term dates and Surrey school holidays for the academic year 2024 on the Surrey County Council website.

National Trust Trails and Events

National Trust sites often have fantastic family trails to keep children entertained. Here are the ones on this half term in Surrey:

Polesden Lacey – Great Bookham, near Dorking Surrey RH5 6BD

Polesdenopoly – 10th to 16th February 2024 – £5 per group

Bring your friends and family to enjoy this interactive trail, see if you can become as rich as Mrs Greville, previous owner of Polesden Lacey and well-known Edwardian socialite. Retrace the steps of past Kings, Queens and Maharajas, whilst you buy your favourite sites dotted around Polesden Lacey. The player who acquires the most property at the end of the trail is the ultimate winner. Are you up for an exciting challenge?

Claremont Landscape Garden and Hatchlands Park are also great to visit but they don’t seem to have any events on this half term.

Days Out with Half Term Activities in Surrey

Denbies Vineyard – Bradley Lane, Dorking Surrey RH5 6AA

The Brick People Lego Exhibition & Build – 12th to 14th February 2024

Take part in brick building, LEGO and LEGO DUPLO play areas and build a LEGO mosaic plus there’s also a display of official and custom LEGO models which is free to visit.

Nature Train Ride – Times and dates throughout half term.

Wrap up warm and enjoy a gentle trip through the vineyard on the Denbies train. Spot woodland friends throughout the vineyard, ticking them off in your booklet as you go!

Brooklands Museum – Brooklands Drive, Weybridge Surrey KT13 0SL

Go Supersonic this February Half Term! – 10th to 18th February 2024

Take your family supersonic this February half-term and celebrate the Brookland’s Concorde, Delta Golf’s, 50th Anniversary! Help make a model Concorde, make an aeroplane and watch it fly whilst meeting Brooklands Aviation legends!

Enjoy the Brooklands Aviation Museum Trail and join the London Bus Museum on a vintage bus for a relaxing ride out and around Brooklands.

Chessington World of Adventures – Leatherhead Road, Chessington Surrey KT9 2NE

Although many theme parks are closed, Chessington World of Adventures opens throughout the winter for guests to enjoy their Zootastic Weekends where they can see the animals and gardens. But, things get even more exciting for February half term!

February Half Term – 10 February – 18 February 2024

Step into the enchanting world of Hampton Court Palace this half term. Be transported back to 1562, where the Tudor court is buzzing with whispers and secret meetings. Queen Elizabeth I has fallen victim to smallpox, casting a shadow of uncertainty over Hampton Court Palace. Half Term Activities in Surrey

Wherever you are in Surrey, there’s bound to be somewhere nearby with organised family activities or events to keep your children entertained over the holidays. Here are a few suggestions of things to do in February half term in Surrey:

Discover the different ways of making at the fun family days and catch Victorian Virtual Reality before it closes. Pick up a family activities trail to explore the site, and create paper tiles inspired by Watts Chapel in a Watts Tots workshop.

Libraries in Surrey

There are many libraries across Surrey and the vast majority of them have activities and events on for children on a regular basis but especially during school holidays. You can find your local library here and book available sessions online too.

Leisure Centres in Surrey

Leisure centres can be a fantastic place to spend time as a family and they’ve come far over recent times, now having so much more than just swimming pools. Most cinemas have reduced tickets at weekends and in school holidays, a great budget activity that the whole family can enjoy together

February Half Term In Surrey

With special Odeon Kids screenings of the most spellbinding fairy tales and animated films, grown-ups pay kids’ ticket prices, making it a great value day out for the whole family.

There are many other cinemas in Surrey – Everyman, Empire and Harlequin to name a few, but they all seem to have the same ticket prices and offerings during school holidays.

Bagshot Tennis Club Junior Tennis Camp

Ages: 4-16 year olds. 1 hour sessions for 4-6 year olds and 3 hour sessions for 6-16 year olds.

The Blue Tots programme is designed to get children learning new skills in an exciting and social environment.  Each camp is full of activities, exercises and fun games that use special equipment to build up agility, balance and coordination as well as tennis technique. Children will be learning drills, match play and taking part in fun competitions. Children will be grouped into their age/ability levels.

Mainly land based bush craft activities. These include making bow and arrows, crafting wooden mallets, as well as cooking chocolate baked bananas, toasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate along with many other land based activities like obstacle courses, orienteering, team games and shelter building.

Surrey Theatre Academy February Half Term Musicals Camp

Can’t get enough of performing? Come along and learn an entire show in a week and perform it on stage with amazing costumes and professional sound and lighting on the last day to your family and friends. Woking Leisure Centre Holiday Camp

Premier Education have a range of fun and exciting holiday camps to keep children active. Each Holiday Camp features a range of activities and with a choice between a Multi-Activity camp, Multi-Sport camp, Performing Arts camp, or a Sport-Specific camp.

Barracudas don’t seem to have clubs available in Surrey this half term.
