February Half Term in Hampshire 2024

If you’re looking for things to do this February half term in Hampshire then you have come to the right place. You may be looking for a lovely family friendly day out or just somewhere to go for walks or you might prefer an organised event or school holiday activities, put on especially for February half term.

When is February Half Term in Hampshire?

February half term 2024 in Hampshire is half way through the spring term. This year the school term dates fall so that half term is Monday 12th to Friday 16th February 2024. I think it’s the same week as neighbouring counties this year but it’s worth checking as Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire often have different half term holiday dates and your school may also tak on inset days either side too. Night Sky Live – 8th February 2023

Are you ready for a family astro adventure? Head outside with us and discover the stars and planets of the night sky, live! Have you ever looked up into the sky at night and wondered what you’re seeing? Well now you don’t have to! Begin your Night Sky Live adventure in the Planetarium. Learn the skills you’ll need to identify what’s above us before following the stargazing host outside into the South Downs National Park. It’s the perfect spot to observe the stars, constellations and planets.

Spring Half Term – 10th to 18th February 2024

Say hello to Spring and visit Finkley to meet little lambs and many other adorable animals. All activities are included in the all-day entry to Finkley Down Farm. There’s so much to see and do including hands-on animal activities, Big Barn indoor soft-play areas, miniature Land Rovers, pedal go-carts, role-play at tractor town and outdoor adventures with crazy golf, jumping pillows and trampolines.

Army Flying Museum – Kentsboro, Stockbridge, Hampshire SO20 8FB

Half Term Fun – 12 Feb – 16 Feb 2024

Visit the Army Flying Museum for craft activities with a focus on camouflage every weekday between 10am and 12.30pm.

On Tuesday 13th February there’ll be Crazy Creatures at the Museum between 10am and 2pm and have a go on a VR headset between 10am and 3pm on Thursday 15th February and find out more about the Apache helicopter.

There’s also a free model making session with Models for Heroes on Thursday 15th February when all ages can make and paint scale plastic models between 10am and 3pm.


D Day Museum and Overlord Embroidery – Clarence Esplanade, Portsmouth, Hampshire PO5 3NT

Airfix extravaganza – 13th February 2024

Make your own genuine Airfix model to take home. Try out a new hobby with help from friendly staff or enjoy some nostalgia and pass on a passion for model making to the next generation. Build your model and get a set of paints to make it look amazing at the museum or to complete it at home.

The big drop: Make your own parachute day – 15th February 2024

Did you know that parachutists were an important part of D-Day? ‘Drop’ in to this family friendly craft activity and make and design your own parachute from scratch. Learn about the Rupert ‘Paradummies’ used to deceive the enemy on D-Day, meet one of the surviving Ruperts on display at the museum, and take home your very own mini Rupert to test your parachute.

Libraries in Hampshire

There are many libraries across Hampshire and the vast majority of them have activities and events on for children on a regular basis but especially during school holidays. You can find your local library here and book available sessions online too.

Leisure Centres in Hampshire

Leisure centres can be a fantastic place to spend time as a family and they’ve come far over recent times, now having so much more than just swimming pools. Many have climbing facilities, soft play centres and even trampoline parks within them! Here are all the ones in Hampshire to choose from:


Trampoline Parks in Hampshire
