8 Climbing Centres in Hampshire 2024
One of our children’s favourite activities is climbing. They love going to an indoor climbing centre, climbing different structures and the rock climbing walls. They also love outdoor aerial adventures that, although not really climbing, give a fantastic high up, harness experience.
Whilst researching more places for us to go so the children can learn new skills in their climbing adventures, I thought it might be helpful to share all the climbing centres and climbing gyms across Hampshire and Hampshire aerial adventures too. So here goes:
Climbing Centres in Hampshire
Top Rock Climbing – Winchester Sport and Leisure Park, Bar End Road, Winchester, Hampshire SO23 9NR
Top Rock is a fantastic way to get into climbing. Perfect for the whole family, this clip and climb facility is one of the best in the area, with 17 routes to enjoy, each of which gives their own unique challenge. Full of colour, exciting shapes, Top Rock climbing is a great way to get fit and active; either by yourself, or with others.

Top Rock Climbing – Fareham Leisure Centre, Park Lane, Fareham, Hampshire PO16 7JU
Top Rock is a fantastic way to get into climbing. Perfect for the whole family, this clip and climb facility is one of the best in the area. There are 20 routes to enjoy, each of which presents its own unique challenge. Full of colour and exciting shapes, Top Rock climbing is a great way to celebrate birthday parties with friends and family, or get fit and active; either by yourself, or with others.

Clip n Climb Portsmouth – Mountbatten Centre, Alex Way, Hilsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire PO2 9QA
Where adults and kids can enjoy some healthy, action-packed fun! Seven individual theme climbing walls, each with challenges of varying design and difficulty.

Rock Up – Whiteley Shopping Centre, Fareham, Hampshire PO15 7PD
Included in the ticket price is an adventure including 26 incredible fun climbing walls towering over 8m with multiple routes to their peaks. Rock Up the Twister, climb the Stairway to Heaven, or set a new record on the Speed Climb – plus so much more! Great for all ages and abilities. No experience or equipment needed.

Woodmill Outdoor Activities Centre – Woodmill Lane, Southampton, Hampshire SO18 2JR
Offering 90 minute outdoor climbing sessions that are a supervised group session with a qualified climbing instructor. The aim is to get you climbing and bouldering safely while having fun. This session is ideal for people who would like to try climbing.

Golden Gecko believe that climbing isn’t just an activity – it’s a shared experience. They want climbers to reach new heights, enjoy all the centre has to offer whilst welcoming new climbers into the shared space.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber, the Parthian family of high-quality climbing centres has something for you. There’s a huge variety of ropes and boulders to pull onto, along with courses for both adults and kids to get you climbing the walls in no time.

Whether you’re looking for somewhere to climb at regularly, climbing courses to complete, an idea for the kids birthday parties or an activity for the school holidays, climbing is great fun and something the whole family can get involved in.
