Although we had some lovely weather a week or two ago, I’m starting to wonder whether the summer is now over and we’ve moved to autumn already! Because of this, we don’t have a huge amount of plans over the summer, preferring to spend time at home, relaxing after such an uncertain year.
I know, the children have only just broken up for the summer – how can I possibly be talking about September yet? But, it will be here before we know it! And as such, I’ve already bought all the school uniform, with only shoes left to think about shortly before the new term starts.

LP and Little Man have always loved books but they especially love being able to add another dimension to the books they read, acting out scenes from the stories and really immersing themselves into each book whether it’s during the day or at bedtime. During half term we had a lovely break away at the Richmond Hill Hotel, exploring Richmond Park and enjoying time together. On the way home we booked tickets to visit Syon Park, somewhere we’d never been before but so close to the hotel that it felt like the perfect opportunity.
LP and Little Man haven’t had consistent swimming lessons for a while – due to the pandemic and our local leisure centre closing for refurbishment.
