As Merlin Annual Passholders in the UK, when we visited Florida the Merlin sites were high on our list of places to visit. We love the UK Merlin attractions and I knew that other attractions across the globe would make for a lovely day out and we wanted to see more than just the Walt Disney World attractions.

Why visit Merlin international attractions?

As a Merlin Passholder you can get so many discounts and benefits – including discounted tickets to the international Merlin attractions. If you take your Merlin Annual Pass with you, you can save up to 50% when visiting International Merlin Entertainments Group attractions around the world.

How do you redeem this discount?

To make use of the discount you simply show your Merlin Pass when booking tickets. So instead of booking online ahead of your visit, you buy tickets at the desk when you arrive. The discount is then applied and you can enjoy your day out.

Discounts do vary between attractions. We visited the three Merlin Attractions Orlando sites and at Legoland we were given 50% off standard ticket prices, Sea Life also gave us 50% off and at Madame Tussauds we were given free entry.

The Merlin Orlando attractions

Two of the Merlin locations in Orlando Florida are at the ICON Park which is easy to get to on International Drive in Central Florida, has plenty of free parking and is a great base for a day out. Legoland Florida is a little drive away, halfway between Orlando and Tampa in Winter Haven.

SEA LIFE Aquarium Orlando

The Sea Life Orlando aquarium is much like any UK Sea Life Centre. There is so much to see from sharks and turtles to stingrays and seahorses and so many fish too. It has Florida’s only 360° ocean tunnel, a jelly wall full of jellyfish and places where you can feed and touch sea creatures too.

Like with any aquarium, this isn’t a full day out but teamed up with Madame Tussauds and the other attractions at ICON Park you could easily spend a whole day there. Don’t forget to take a spin on the Orlando Eye too!

Madame Tussauds Orlando

The Orlando Madame Tussauds is again quite like the one in London although based around American celebrities, characters and political figures. Because of this, we weren’t too familiar with many of the wax models but we loved seeing them all the same. And you can’t go to Madame Tussauds in America without a photo with Donald Trump!

LEGOLAND® Florida

One of our top places to visit was the Legoland Florida theme park. We absolutely love Legoland in the UK and couldn’t wait to go to another one. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. It’s also home to the Peppa Pig Theme Park which is a completely separate attraction.

With fantastic rides, so many roller coasters and even one with VR headsets plus the best shows we have ever seen, it’s an action packed day out for the whole family. the resort is set in beautiful gardens – the old Cypress Gardens – and with air conditioning everywhere, it’s perfectly set up for a really enjoyable day out.
