Can the Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies be given as a gift?

Our ultimate perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies are a fantastic gift for any occasion whether for a new neighbour, teachers at the end of the school year or the school bake sale. They last for a few days – firming up slightly but still having the same wonderful flavour – and giving them as a gift means that more people can enjoy them too. There are so many ways to wrap and present them as a gift and they have a great consistency – thin crispy chocolate chewy cookie on the outside and soft in the middle.

These cookies have a gooey centre and are crisp on the outside, the perfect cookie for any time of the day – and that can be enjoyed throughout the year. There really is nothing better than biting into a warm cookie, just out of the oven, and being met with melted chocolate chips and warm cookie dough.

These cookies are so easy to make as you don’t need cookie cutters or to roll dough out. You simply place balls of cookie dough onto the cookie sheet and bake. So quick and simple with fantastic home made results.

Can this easy chocolate chip cookies recipe be adapted?

This Never Fail Soft Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe is amazing as it’s just so adaptable. This crispy chocolate chip cookies recipe below is for classic chocolate chip cookies but you can substitute the 250g of chocolate chips for 250g of whatever you like. We’ve had a great success with choc and nut, white chocolate and cranberry or a mixture of different chocolate chips.

We’ve also experimented with different types of sugar. We prefer to use soft, light brown sugar but have also used simple granulated sugar and the recipe still works well.

If you’re looking for other bakes to make, why not try our chocolate fudge tiffin, peanut butter cookies or simple chocolate biscuits that are great for baking with the kids? You can see all our recipes here.
