The Times That Have Passed {The Ordinary Moments}

Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you haven’t joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. It’s a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life – or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically – anything goes. I’ll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and there’s a badge at the bottom of the post if you’d like to add it to yours too.

Playdoh - The Ordinary Moments

I’ve been spending a lot of time updating old blog posts and it’s made me realise, in nearly six years of sharing ordinary moments I have documented so many snippets of our lives. And of those snippets so many have now passed, not to be experienced again. We’ll just remember them and treasure them and think about them from time to time.

Bathtime - The Ordinary Moments

These aren’t the really big things either. It’s things like singing Little Man to sleep when he was small, trying to get both the children into a good sleep routine and breastfeeding for the last time.

Together - The Ordinary Moments

There is so much documented in these pages that I love to remember and when I wrote about it I had no idea that it would end so soon. Things like Little Man’s imaginary friend, the children sharing a shopping trolley, the time we spent sitting on a rocking chair before bed and all those weekday lunches we had together before they started school.

Weaning - The Ordinary Moments

Children grow up so quickly and moments pass in the blink of an eye. It’s so true what they say – the days are long but the years are short and now that both children are well into their school years we are recording more moments, making more memories and everything is just as lovely as when they were tiny but different at the same time.

Story Time - The Ordinary Moments

These pages will keep being full of new moments and the children will probably feature less and less as time goes by. But, I’m glad I have them to look back on. Every single Ordinary Moment since the very first one.

The Ordinary Moments

If you have an ordinary moment this week, come and link up – I’m looking forward to reading the moments that you share and will comment and share them on Twitter through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part.
