Slow Cooker Beef Rogan Josh

One of our favourite slow cooker meals will always be a curry. Often we just buy jars of sauce, throw it in the slow cooker with meat and some veg and let it work it’s magic for an easy dinner. But, at other times, there’s nothing quite like making your own homemade curry from scratch. And Rogan Josh is one of our family favourites.

Slow Cooker Beef Rogan Josh

I shared our Slow Cooker Lamb Rogan Josh recipe years ago and it’s taken me awhile to put the Rogan Josh with Beef alternative together – but it’s worth waiting for. This curry is so full of flavour and a recipe that the whole family really enjoy. It’s one of our favourite slow cooker recipes.

This slow cooker beef curry uses so many spices and there’s not a curry paste or ready made sauce in sight. It’s lovely and authentic plus, slow cooking lets the spices and flavours really mature too. It’s a really lovely dish.

We serve this beef and tomato curry simply with rice, poppadoms and naan. You could also add some Indian side dishes if you wanted like samosas or bhajis, something we love to add as a treat on occasion.
