Me & Mine {January 2022}

Half way through last year I stopped sharing Me & Mine photos. Life was hard and it was one of many things that slipped out of our routine. But this year I wanted to start documenting us as a family again and so here I am with the first of this year’s Me & Mine posts.

January has gone by so quickly despite us not doing a huge amount. We’ve had a lot of downtime as a family, time together at home and simple days out. We went to Frensham Pond, The Sculpture Park and did a local Treasure Trail in Woking.

The children have easily got back into the school routine – although LP finished the month at home with covid for the second time in 4 months. We have our fingers crossed that it passes swiftly and uneventfully.

I’ve got into a good work routine, being so much more productive than I’ve been since the pandemic started. I’m feeling really inspired at the moment and am writing so many more recipes, making plans to explore new places and just writing about so much. It’s a really good feeling.

Dave had some good work news this month and so things on that front will be changing for our family again. You may remember that he worked shifts for years and for the last few he’s been in a Monday-Friday role. It looks like the shifts are set to return which will take some getting used to again!

All in all, January has been good to us. The weather hasn’t been too cold, we’ve played a lot, relaxed a lot, sorted out a lot of odd jobs at home and really have just started the year in a bubble of togetherness. It’s been lovely.
