When we were in New York last year Little Man told us about something he had seen online. A free Lego Passport.
This was the first we had heard of it and asked him to explain whilst we were walking around the New York sights. He said that Lego give away free passport style books that you can then take to every Lego store and get stamped, showing all the Lego stores ou have visited around the world. How cool does that sound?
A free Lego Passport
So, we immediately went to the Lego store to see if the Lego Passport was a real thing and if we could get Little Man one to document his Lego travels.
We went to the main Lego store in New York, near the Rockefeller Center, and sadly they had run out of passports and told us to try again at a later date. But, we were not giving up – and instead went to the other New York store in the Flatiron District who had the Lego passports!

Little Man was given his very own Lego Passport, a really good quality booklet with plenty of pages to stamp. The staff also brought out a box of stamps from below the counter, letting him choose which stamps to use in his booklet.
The Lego Passport stamps
Each store has a selection of free Lego Passport stamps and these include ones specific to the store, seasonal stamps and ones with the current year on them so you can realise personalise your passport and make it truly show where and when you have been to the Lego stores.

Little Man loved getting the stamps in his Lego Passport and we went back to the other New York store to stamp the passport later in our holiday – and have since added more stamps in London and Washington DC too.

The Lego Passport has been introduced to inspire you to visit physical Lego stores more often, discovering new Lego sets and getting new Lego stamps in your passport each time. It’s a free Lego store activity, it’s fun and it’s something all children will love.

Lego Passport participating stores
There isn’t a huge amount of information about the Lego Passports online but, from visiting stores, we have gathered that the Lego Passport participating stores are all the main Lego stores – not concessions or pop up stores. It’s worth taking your Lego Passport with you on your travels just in case.

How much is Lego Passport?
I know it’s hard to believe but, a Lego Passport is completely free. There is no catch. The passport is free to get, subject to availability, and the stamps are free to use too. It’s fantastic!
So next time you’re in a Lego store, ask about the Lego Passport and see if you can start collecting Lego stamps too! I’m sure you and your children will love it as much as we do. Little Man loves being a Lego Passport holder!
