13 Options for Christmas Afternoon Tea in Hampshire 2024

Afternoon tea is something we really enjoy all year round but it’s an extra special treat at Christmas. A festive afternoon tea is a great excuse to catch up with friends and family, enjoy an indulgent treat and see in the festive season in a really relaxed but wonderful way.

What is festive afternoon tea?

Festive afternoon tea is much like a traditional afternoon tea but with some noticeable differences. There might be festive sandwich fillings in the dainty finger sandwiches. Turkey and cranberry or brie and cranberry often make an appearance!

A festive afternoon tea often has some additions to the scones to make them festive – maybe some nutmeg or orange and cranberry flavours. The cakes are often Christmassy too – a mini Christmas pudding, mince pie or Christmas tree shaped cookies. And I love it when the cake tier shouts Christmas. It’s a time for pastry chefs to really go over the top in festive spirit!

So I thought it would be good to put together all the dedicated festive afternoon teas across Hampshire for you to enjoy over the holidays. But, if you’re looking for a traditional afternoon tea over the festive season, these articles might help:
