Christmas Light Trails in Berkshire 2026

Festive light trails are such a tradition for us. We’ll go to at least one or two over the festive season and love to find new holiday light displays, seeing the different installations and really getting into the festive spirit. There’s something so magical about holiday lights, especially if you’re seeing them with your nearest and dearest.

Christmas Light Trails in Berkshire

I thought I’d put together all the Christmas light trails across Berkshire in the hope that there’ll be an event with dates that work for you. I’ve included the lowest cost – usually for off peak times – and so make sure you click through to the event website to check up to date information and book your tickets. 

Christmas Light Trails in Berkshire

Windsor Great Park Illuminated – Englefield Green, Egham TW20 0UU

Enjoy a magical evening with family and friends at Windsor Illuminated. This year it’s more dazzling than ever with a sprinkling of new installations and the return of some firm favourites.

When: 14 November 2025 to 3 January 2026

Cost: Adult from £19.80, child from £12.10 and family tickets from £56.10

Welford Park Spectacle of Light – Welford Park, Welford, Newbury RG20 8HU

Enjoy a breathtaking trail through light, colour and fantasy as you discover the nighttime wonder of Welford Park through a wonderful spectacle of light and sound. Enjoy a beautiful, illuminated trail through the woodland and around the house and gardens all lit under the stars.

When: 17 October to 9 November 2025

Cost: Adult from £19.80, child from £11.70 and family tickets from £54.90

Newbury Festival of Light – Newbury Town Centre

Soak up the atmosphere and watch hundreds of twinkling lanterns as the procession travels through Newbury town centre in this popular, annual Festival of Light. The procession will travel along Northbrook Street before arriving in the Market Place with live music and a festive atmosphere.

When: Sunday 14th December 2025

Devine Christmas Lights Trail

This trail is about bringing festive joy to the local community, whilst raising much-needed funds for the children’s hospice service helping light up the lives of the children and families that Alexander Devine support.

Henry Street Garden Centre Christmas Light Walk

This Festive period visit the Henry Street Garden Cetre for an exciting free winter light walk through their plant area. You will also be able to see the Christmas displays as you’ve never seen them before with the lights turned down so you can see all the Christmas illuminations in all their splendour. Over 50% of the light walk is under cover so you can enjoy it whatever the weather.

When: Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 27th November till 23rd of December, 4.30pm – 7pm (Last entry 6.30pm)

Kingfisher Chase in Jennett’s Park, Bracknell usually have a wonderful, bright display of Christmas Lights that they put on to raise money for charity from around the end of November. It’s well worth a drive to see.

Christmas Light Trails Outside Berkshire

Despite the lack of light trails in Berkshire, there are plenty more just a little further afield. Here are a few suggestions:
