Siblings {May 2022}

Oh what a month it has been. May is always one of my favourites and this year we have crammed so much in. LP and Little Man have had a great time – and not least because it was Little Man’s birthday last week.

The month started with Easter weekend and we went to Blenheim Palace for their Easter offering and then had two lovely gardens days with friends and family. The kids loved being outside, playing and having fun – it really is the simple things.

A highlight of this month for LP and Little Man was their cousin’s birthday party where they went donutting. It was great fun and something they haven’t done together before.

We spent the long weekend in Dudley, visiting Dudley Zoo for the first time and going back to the Black Country Living Museum and Blists Hill. It was a weekend full of traditional fun, old fashioned sweets and fish and chips. The kids had a great time.

The rest of the month was full of Little Man’s birthday. We went to an arcade, had friends and family over for yet another barbecue and ate so much cake. He got so many lovely gifts and ended up quite upset that his birthday was over but we’ve told him we’re dragging it out for the whole month – and we have a surprise trip away at the end of the month that’s just for him too.

LP and Little Man have their moments where they bicker and squabble which I think comes part and parcel with being a sibling. But, the vast majority of the time they adore each other – and LP even has Little Man as the wallpaper on her phone. They’re bestest buddies and they make each other laugh almost constantly. I’m not sure there’s much else you need in life.
