Me & Mine {October 2015}
Wow. What a month. October has gone by in a blur. It has been packed with school, work and, unusually for us, lots and lots of family time! October is my favourite month – not only because my Birthday falls in it – and we have done so much this month – it’s been a really great one.
For my Birthday we had a weekend away at a hotel in Birmingham and took the opportunity to visit Waddesdon Manor on the way there for amazing afternoon tea and then went to Drayton Manor theme park the following day. It was a lovely weekend.
We also went to Hatchlands Park at the start of the month and Belton House at the end of the month, making October another great month for using our National Trust passes! We also made use of our Legoland passes with a couple of visits for Little Man and I but then a whole family visit for the fireworks last week.
I also went to a couple of blog events which was a bit different as at the moment I feel I am turning down so much because of school pickups and working hours. Little Man and I went to the My 1st Years Christmas event and then last weekend we all went to the Tower of London for the Monsoon Childrenswear’s 20th Birthday Party. It was a lovely day and great to take the kids into London – we also squeezed in a family meal at Strada too which had the best view of Tower Bridge.
The month has ended with our bathroom being renovated – and hopefully finished next week – and us having a little mini break with a hotel stay in Milton Keynes and then a weekend at Butlins – where I am whilst writing this. I won’t lie, it hasn’t been the best of experiences but we have a day left and we are definitely making the most of our family time – the children are having a great time too.
So that’s our October. A really, really busy month for us, packed full of little adventures. It has been a lovely month overall although we only managed to take our photos today – I’ve been ill, have no make-up on, wet hair from swimming and we’re all a bit tired and out of sorts but it’s us, and you don’t get much more real than that!
You’ve definitely had an action packed month! I’ve loved seeing all your NT adventures – I reckon we might have to invest in membership when we’re back in England.
Woweee you have been super busy, I felt a bit tired reading it all haha 🙂 We’ve just joined the NT so hopefully we can have some lovely adventures now too! xx
Wow, what a busy month! Lovely to have so much family time. I think it’s lovely that your picture was taken at the last minute with no preparation, it’s a perfect reminder of how busy you’ve all been.
Such a busy month for you, I hope you managed to enjoy the last day of the half term break and hope you’re all feeling better soon honey. Lovely family photograph xx
Wow, this month has really been non stop for you but so much fun! We love October too, we have a couple of family birthdays and our anniversary and it always seems to be the best weather. Love the photo of you this month, so relaxed and natural but oh so happy too xx
