How do you make a Mars Bar Slice?

To make this delicious recipe you just need four ingredients – Mars Bars, butter, Rice Krispies and milk chocolate. You don’t need branded Rice Krispies, any puffed rice cereal will do. You can also use any size Mars Bars as long as you end up with 250g worth! For the chocolate topping you can use milk chocolate bars or chocolate chips.

You also need a nice, sturdy baking tin. We use either a brownie pan or a square metal baking dish. The smaller the dish, the deeper the Mars Bar slice will be, the bigger, the thinner it will be. Our usual pan is an 8 inch square tin that works really well and makes around 16 good size Mars Bar squares when sliced.

Can you vary this recipe?

You can add Mars Bar chunks to the chocolate topping before putting in the fridge to set or add sprinkles or any other chocolate to the top. A lot of people also add golden syrup to the melted Mars Bars mixture to make it extra sweet, sticky and runny but we find it works really well with just Mars Bars and butter.
