I’m loving no bake treats this year and our favourite Easter treat is Cadbury Creme Eggs so it made sense to experiment with Cream Eggs and see what we could make! One of our creations was this super simple Cadburys Creme Egg Rocky Road Easter treat.
A classic Rocky Road chocolate treat is one of my favourite things and it’s so easy to vary the recipe to make seasonal treats like this. Easy Rocky Road is also great for making the with kids because it’s so easy and it really doesn’t matter what it looks like – it’ll taste great!
What ingredients do you need for this Easter Rocky Road recipe?
For this delicious Easter Creme Egg Rocky Road slice we used the classic chocolate rocky road ingredients of digestive biscuits, chocolate and marshmallows with the added Mini Creme Eggs to give it an Easter twist. You can use full size Creme Eggs too if you wanted but I think the little ones are the perfect size for our Easter ultimate rocky road. Other Easter chocolate eggs would work well too – anything you feel like really!
To make this into a true Cadbury Rocky Road recipe you could use creamy Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate to create a DAiry Milk Rocky Road with Creme Eggs although we always use just cheap milk chocolate and it works and tastes lovely. You could even use leftover Easter Eggs! The choice is yours.
This Creme Egg tray bake is great to make as a gift, lovely to have to just enjoy over Easter and perfect to share. You can slice it into any size pieces you like to have either a bitesize snack or a bigger slice for dessert – eaten with a fork!
If you’re looking for other no bake chocolate Easter treats, why not try our Mini Eggs Fridge Cake, Mini Egg Nests or our Creme Egg Rice Krispie Cakes? You really can’t beat an Easter treat! You can see all our Easter recipes to date here.
What equipment do you need to make rocky road?
Rocky Road doesn’t need anything special to make it, and you probably already have everything you need at home, but this is the equipment we use:
- A large glass bowl
- A saucepan
- A wooden spoon
- A spatula
- A deep baking tray or baking tin
- Baking paper sheets
- Food scales
- Good quality knives to cut the rocky road into pieces
- Airtight containers for storage
- Food gift bags to package it up and give as gifts
Once you’ve got everything you need to make the rocky road you can just keep making it again and again – in so many different flavours too!
