Another Year of Ordinary Moments {The Ordinary Moments}

Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you haven’t joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. It’s a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life – or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically – anything goes. I’ll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and there’s a badge at the bottom of the post if you’d like to add it to yours too.

Another Year of Ordinary Moments {The Ordinary Moments}

Today is the last Ordinary Moments of 2017 and it made me realise that I have been recording these little moments from our lives for so long. Looking back at the first ones I wrote they documented LP as a toddler. A two year old who loved Curious George, Mickey Mouse and dancing. Little Man was a few months old and every single milestone of his has been captured in this Sunday routine.

The Ordinary Moments have seen little man learn to crawl, get teeth, learn to stand up and walk. They have seen him turn from a baby into a little boy and they have seen LP grow from a toddler to a young lady – complete with her most treasured gap in her smile.

As my blog has grown and branched out the Ordinary Moments have made sure that I have continued to write about the important things. That I have still written about the things I wrote about when this blog first began. I still write about the big things – the holidays, the home improvements and days out but I love writing about the children and our family’s life together each Sunday. Sharing something little, something ordinary but something I never want to forget.

And so this week’s Ordinary Moments is just about that. Taking a moment to reflect on all the little moments that have gone by. Ones I would probably forget if I hadn’t committed them to a page on this blog.

  1. Oh I’m hoping to join in with this every week during 2018. I love that we are encouraged to celebrate the ordinary parts of our lives that make families so unique. Hope it is ok to link up my 2017 review which contains some ordinary moments but completely fine if you need to delete. Wishing you and yours the happiest of New Years xx
