Living Arrows – 1/53 {2018}

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows – and a shiny new year too! So many people joined in with Living Arrows last year and I can’t wait to see how many people join in during 2018 too.

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

This week’s photos were taken on a National Trust day out just after Christmas. Regular readers will be used to brick walls in my photos now so it was nice to find one outside to take photos in front of. Both LP and Little Man got new hats, gloves and scarves for Christmas and Little Man absolutely loved his Thomas ones. He is looking so grown up at the moment – but, thankfully, is still my cuddly, sweet little boy.

LP’s hat is aged 4-6 and although she’s nearly six and a half she really is a dinky little thing – so it will probably fit her until her teens! She’s constantly playing with the gap in her mouth where she lost her first tooth but when she smiles naturally, like this, it isn’t even noticeable.

I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week. If you link up make sure to go and read some of the other posts and I’ll be commenting and sharing them through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part!

  1. You wouldn’t even notice she had lost a tooth here. I’m so squeamish I’m not sure how I’ll manage with tooth loss – fingers crossed J holds onto them for a few more years! x

  2. Those new hats are just adorable, Daisy and Jake both have hats that they have used for years and despite me buying new ones they still want the old ones. I’m excited to be taking part in a whole new year of living arrows, thanks so much for hosting x

  3. Happy New Year. I love their little smily faces, they really look like such lovely, kind natured children. Thanks for running this linky – looking forward to joining in again this year!

  4. My first time of joining in, thankyou for hosting. Tyrus is the same age as LP and he has just lost both bottom teeth within 3 days of each other, so its definitely noticeable!
