When is February Half Term in Berkshire?
February half term in Berkshire this year is Monday 12th to Friday 16th February 2024. I think it’s the same week as neighbouring counties this year but it’s worth checking as Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire often have different half term holiday dates. National Trust Trails and Events
National Trust sites often have fantastic family trails to keep children entertained. Here are the ones on this half term in Berkshire:
The Vyne – Vyne Rd, Sherborne St John, Basingstoke RG24 9HL
Valentine Heart Trail – 10th to 18th February 2024
This February half-term, families can keep their eyes peeled for beautiful hearts hidden in The Vyne’s gardens and complete a fun Valentine quiz. Free trail sheet available at visitor reception.

Basildon Park and Cliveden are also lovely to visit but they don’t seem to have events on this half term.

Reading Museum – Blagrave Street, Reading, RG1 1QH
Reading Museum is great to visit and also has a variety of activities on over half term:

Bucklebury Farm Park – Pease Hill, Reading RG7 6RR
Lego at the Farm: 14th February 2023 – £20 per person.
Visit Bucklebury for 2 hours of creative fun building with LEGO bricks. The workshops are designed to help children with problem solving, dexterity, creativity, confidence and relaxation all whilst building friendships and having fun with LEGO bricks.
Adults can drop off their children and collect at the end. Plus, ticket prices include entry to Bucklebury Farm Park afterwards.
The Living Rainforest
Rainforest Relationships: 10th to 18th February 2024
Learn about the important relationships between humans, animals and plants. Trail activity packs, children’s crafts, animal and plant talks and free tours with experienced guides.

BCA Zoo – Burchett’s Green, Maidenhead SL6 6QR
Zoo Tours: 14th and 18th February 2024
Visir BCA Zoo on a guided tour, home to over 100 different species from across the globe. Visit the Nocturnal Room where the animals come alive in the twilight, the bustling Zoo Courtyard and finish off in the warm Reptile House where you never know what fascinating creature might be waiting around the next corner.

Brick Days: Selected days from 10th February 2024
Get set for a February half term of LEGO fun with Brick Days at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort! Meet your favourite LEGOLAND Characters, take part in exclusive LEGO brick building activities, and conquer awesome build challenges. There is something to spark every junior builder’s imagination!

Windsor Castle – Windsor SL4 1NJ
Royal Patronages – RNLI at 200: 10 Feb 2024 – 18 Feb 2024
This year Windsor Castle are marking the 200th anniversary of the RNLI, which is a charity that saves lives at sea. Included as part of your visit to Windsor Castle this February half term, children can enjoy some creative crafting at the Castle’s Learning Centre. Children can create a momento to take home, perhaps a rocking lifeboat or a winter sea collage.

Treasure Trails
If you want to get outside but you don’t really know where, we love Treasure Trails. It’s an adventure that the whole family can get involved in for less than £10. Odeon – Odeon Kids
With special Odeon Kids screenings of the most spellbinding fairy tales and animated films, grown-ups pay kids’ ticket prices, making it a great value day out for the whole family.
There are many other cinemas in Berkshire – Everyman, Empire and Harlequin to name a few, but they all seem to have the same ticket prices and offerings during school holidays.
