Windsor Castle {The Ordinary Moments}

Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you haven’t joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. It’s a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life – or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically – anything goes. I’ll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and there’s a badge at the bottom of the post if you’d like to add it to yours too.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas! Ours was spent seeing friends and family, relaxing, playing with new toys and doing a whole lot of nothing. It couldn’t have been better.

We ventured out of the house for the first time in days yesterday for a trip to Windsor. We were meant to go a week before Christmas but I was so poorly that we rearranged it and it was a lovely way to blow off the cobwebs after Christmas.

We’ve never been to Windsor Castle before and it was such a nice place to visit as a family. I loved the history of the building and the State Rooms were pretty amazing. We saw Queen Mary’s dolls house and St George’s Chapel and the whole castle was beautifully decorated for the festive season too.

The weather was dry for us, the children were great company and things like the guards marching around was lovely to watch. We can return to the castle free for a year so I know we’ll be back again on a sunny day in spring too. The children can’t wait to go back.

The Ordinary Moments

If you have an ordinary moment this week, come and link up – I’m looking forward to reading the moments that you share and will comment and share them on Twitter through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. I didn’t know you could go into this castle. It looks amazing. I’ve seen it from the outside and the building is stunning. Looks like a great day and glad it was dry xx
