10 Things to Do at SeaWorld Orlando
Whenever we visit Florida we always spend at least a day at Sea World. It’s a fantastic day out for the whole family and we always end the day on a high, knowing we’ve made memories that will last forever.
But, many people still think of SeaWorld as just dolphins and whales, rather than all the other attractions within the park. Marine mammals are still a huge part of a visit to SeaWorld Orlando but there is so much more to do and experience as well. So I thought I would put together ten things to do at SeaWorld to give you inspiration for your next trip.
10 things to do at SeaWorld Orlando
Ride a roller coaster standing up!
SeaWorld has some of the best rides we have ever been on. The rollercoasters are some of the best in the US and definitely some of the best across the Orlando theme parks too. From the thrills of Mako, Kraken and Manta to the wet water fun of Infinity Falls and Journey to Atlantis, there is something for everyone at SeaWorld. But now you can also stand up whilst you ride thanks to Pipeline: The Surf Coaster. A really different experience that you really cannot miss.
Explore the aquariums
SeaWorld is home to so many aquariums, many of which you queue through for rides or end up in after riding. They are vast, with so many sea creatures to look at and discover.
Spend time at the SeaWorld Rescue Center
Animal rescue and rehabilitation is an integral part of what SeaWorld is. And the Rescue Center lets you learn all about the work SeaWorld do in an immersive and fascinating way. At the Rescue Center you can meet vulnerable manatees and turtles who are recovering and receiving care, including critically endangered Kemp’s Ridley Sea turtles. Explore the Coral Reef Research Facility and hear from dedicated experts who help make it all possible.
Visit the Dolphin Nursery
The dolphin nursery is somewhere we always spend time at SeaWorld. You get to watch dolphins and their calves, seeing the babies practice jumping, playing, and communicating with their mums and other newborns with clicks and noises.
Dolphin Adventures show
The Dolphin Adventures show is one of our favourites at SeaWorld. See dolphins in all their glory, happily playing and splashing in awesome synchronised displays. It makes you really appreciate how graceful dolphins are.
Ocra Encounter show
The Orca Encounter show is another must see at SeaWorld. Seeing orcas in the flesh, learning about them and watching them swim and jump. It’s amazing to watch.
Visit Sesame Street Land
A place where everyone from the youngest visitors will feel at home, take a walk down Sesame Street, a place full of fun, laughter and learning. Stop by the famous stoop at 123. Explore the inside of Hooper’s Store, then head for big fun at Big Bird’s Nest. Sesame Street also has an award-winning parade, rides and character meets.
Dine with the Orcas
SeaWorld have so many upgrade experiences on offer and one of our favourites is Dine with Orcas. Watch the orcas training and unwinding with their trainers, ask questions and learn more about these incredible mammals whilst enjoying a fantastic meal.
You can read about our Dine with Orcas experience here.
Enjoy All Day Dining
If food is your thing, you can pay for an all day dining experience at SeaWorld. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks plus as many more meals, snacks and drinks as you can manage during your day at SeaWorld. Find out more here.
Hire Paddle Boats
If you’ve seen the shows, been on the rides, walked down Sesame Street and are looking for even more fun – but also a way to relax – hire a paddle boat. With just a small additional cost, it’s a great way to see SeaWorld from a whole new perspective and unwind at the same time.
But that is not all. There is so much to do at SeaWorld. There are 19 different rides and attractions, with new ones announced regularly. There are keeper talks and demonstrations, special events throughout the year, parades and so many different tours that you can pay to participate in. It’s a fantastic family day out. You can read the review from our very first visit here.
You can find out more about SeaWorld over on their website and for reference their address is: 7007 Sea World Dr, Orlando, FL 3282
