Today I am sharing with you my all time favourite slow cooker meal – Maple Glazed Ribs. This recipe takes pretty much all day in the slow cooker, and then a few minutes under the grill but it is just so worth it and it is without a doubt one of our favourite pork recipes.
Our best slow cooker ribs are a staple dinner in our family. I can put the crock pot on in the morning and at dinner time the crockpot ribs take just a few minutes until they’re ready to serve. We have these slow cooker pork ribs with chips, salad and coleslaw – as you would in a restaurant – and it’s a great meal to enjoy all year round and such a wonderful comfort food.
How can I cook barbecue ribs in the slow cooker?
We love these slow cooker baby ribs served with the maple glaze. It’s just sweet enough and compliments the pork perfectly. But, many people enjoy ribs with a simple barbecue sauce. If that’s you – give these a go instead! But, in all seriousness, you can spoon a bottle of BBQ sauce over the ribs instead of the maple glaze and this recipe will work just as well – leaving you with beautiful fall off the bone tender barbecue ribs.
But, BBQ ribs are something we have when eating out. At home it’s all about maple glazed ribs and this is one of the main dishes our family ask for again and again. Spare ribs are such an easy slow cooker recipe and the easiest way to cook ribs too. I’m sure you could cook them in an Instant Pot too although I haven’t tried that yet – I’ll report back on how Instant Pot ribs turn out when we make them for the first time. One thing’s for sure, whether you use a slow cooker or Instant Pot this is definitely easier than any oven recipes we’ve tried and the meat just falls off the bones.

I don’t eat meat but I keep reading blog posts with amazing slow cooker recipes and realising that I am totally missing out by not owning a slow cooker. I really need to sort that out.

Last week it was Nachos and this week it’s ribs, another of my all time favourites. These look amazing and are making my mouth water! I really need to get a slow cooker, I keep saying it and don’t get round to it! Any recommendations of which one to buy? x
We have a Argos Cookworks one. Was only about £20 and has lasted years x
