I love creating new seasonal recipes and this year I’ve been making so many pumpkin flavoured bakes that our home has been full of the scents of the season. Our latest bake was Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Brownies and I thought I’d add it to our bank of pumpkin recipes along with Pumpkin Pie and our Pumpkin and Nutmeg Tarts.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Brownies

Everyone loves a brownie and they are so easy to vary the recipe with different flavourings and some nuts or fruit for a bit of texture. These pumpkin chocolate brownies with pumpkin are a twist on our white chocolate chip brownies and they are so lovely to enjoy throughout the autumn.

Are brownies hard to make?

Brownies are one of the easiest things to bake and you can make them as firm or gooey as you like. I love a nice soft middle brownie for dessert with custard or ice cream – or a firmer one enjoyed with a nice cup of tea. If you like a more cake-like brownie, make sure it passes the toothpick test – the toothpick should come out of the cake clean and it’s ready.

This pumpkin brownie recipe is perfect for any occasion and is the perfect taste of autumn. Fantastic for any gathering and can be made again and again if you keep tinned pumpkin in the cupboard.

These chocolate pumpkin brownies are great for anyone that loves seasonal flavours. I love pumpkin spice and so these are such a lovely home made treat. You could try making them with canned pumpkin puree instead of pumpkin spice but I wanted to make sure this delicious chocolate brownies recipe was as simple as possible.
