I love baking with Lotus Biscoff spread. It’s something we use all the time in the kitchen and our latest bake is a Chocolate Biscoff Cake. This loaf cake follows on from our Lotus Biscoff Loaf Cake, with the addition of plenty of chocolate!
How do you make this easy Chocolate Biscoff Loaf Cake?
This cake could not be easier to make. It uses self raising flour, soft light brown sugar, eggs and butter or margarine along with a hearty dollop of Biscoff spread.
Although we use self raising flour for ease you can use plain flour or all purpose flour with a little baking powder or baking soda if you want to. We also use soft brown sugar but you can use golden caster sugar or even just granulated sugar. It’s a great bake to use whatever you have in the pantry at home!
We always use smooth Lotus Biscoff spread but you can use crunchy Biscoff spread if you wanted to. And, if you want an extra layer of chocolate flavour you can add a handful of chocolate chips to the mix if you want as well!
The chocolate and Biscoff cake recipe is finished simply with melted Lotus Biscoff cookie butter spread and crushed Lotus Biscoff cookies. It’s a delicious bake that any Biscoff fan will love.

What equipment do you need for this loaf cake recipe?
You can make this recipe simply with things you already have in your kitchen but here are the things we use in case there’s something you don’t already have:
As you can see, it’s all things you probably have already. We use loaf tin liners to guarantee that bakes come out of the tin easily and they’re great when baking as gifts too but parchment paper works well too
