Me & Mine {February 2018}

Oh my gosh where has February gone? I know it’s a short month but it feels like it was January two minutes ago. I think because we have been so busy this month it has gone so much quicker than any month usually does – we literally haven’t stopped.

Me & Mine {February 2018}

Dave and I went away for the first weekend of the month to a lovely hotel but the following weekend we all went to the Midlands to kick off half term – going to a lovely National Trust property and visiting Drayton Manor for about the billionth time. It’s the children’s favourite place and they never get bored of it.

But then the children and I went to Cornwall for half term whilst Dave was working and we had a great time, seeing the sights, catching up with friends and buying the obligatory magnet at every stop! It was a great week and we couldn’t wait to get home – even though we have all been so full of colds and sickness for the last part of the month.

I squeezed in a spa break last weekend and we spent the day with lovely Lauren and her gorgeous family which was so nice to just have some down time after the big adventures that February has brought us.

Now, we finish the month surrounded by snow – more snow than we’ve had since LP was a baby and it’s just so lovely. The children are excited and it’s hard to get annoyed about slushy roads and the cold when the children feel like it’s a real life Winter Wonderland – LP’s words exactly.

This month’s photos were taken in our back garden as soon as Dave got home from work yesterday. Despite all the adventures this month we just haven’t had a chance to take a family photo – but we’ll try harder in March. We had the garden done this month too so I’ll be revealing that properly soon!

February has gone by in a blur. It’s been a month of weather extremes – all four seasons at times – but it has been one of getting out, whatever the weather, exploring and having fun. It’s been a really lovely month and now I am looking forward to March – and spring!

  1. You have been busy, when you see it all written down I don’t know how you fit it all in. You’re braver than us for facing all the weather. I feel the cold so badly that it puts me off going out, and I hibernate. I did love seeing all your Cornwall photos, what a beautiful part of the world.

  2. Always busy I thought I was bad hahaha I love it. These are darling with the perfect snow in the back. Unfortunately my kids were in school the only day we got pretty white snow and it melted before they got home. They were so disappointed. I am ready for Spring though may it pop out literally soon and stay with us. Hope March is lovely for you. Sorry for late commenting catching up today. 🙂 #meandmineproejct
