How to make an old fashioned apple loaf cake?

To make this moist apple loaf cake we use typical cake ingredients – butter or margarine, self raising flour, soft brown sugar, eggs and then apples and ground cinnamon for the added flavour.

Although we use light brown sugar, golden caster sugar or granulated sugar also work well in this apple cake loaf. We also use self raising flour for ease but you can use plain flour or all purpose flour with a little baking powder or baking soda if you wanted.
