Staying at Oriente Atiram Hotel Barcelona
Disclosure: We were invited on this break for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.
During the Easter holidays we went to Barcelona for a few days and stayed at the Oriente Atiram Hotel. It was such a nice break away and the hotel was the perfect base to explore Barcelona as a family. If you are looking for cheap flights around Europe by Tui, check Latest Deals.
Oriente Atiram Hotel
The Oriente Atiram Hotel is well situated on Las Ramblas in the heart of Barcelona. It’s the main street through the city, with so many shops and restaurants lining the sides of the street as well as stalls and dining areas down the middle of the street too. it’s a really buzzing, vibrant place to spend time.
Due to the hotel’s great location, we found it easily as soon as we arrived in Barcelona. The lobby and reception area blew us away. With mirrors and plants everywhere, as well as a vast chandelier hanging from the ceiling, it was a fantastic start to our stay.
The staff were wonderful and we made use of Dave’s duolingo Spanish from the moment we arrived. The man who checked us in even encouraged me to speak a little Spanish and thanked us for our efforts, commenting that so many english people visit the city or even more to Spain and never say a word of the language!
Our room at Oriente Atiram Hotel
Our room was ready when we arrived and so we were able to drop our bags and head out to explore straight away. We were booked into a quad room on the fourth floor and took the lift straight up. We tended to get the lift up and then walk down the stairs in the morning. Four floors seems a lot but it goes quickly!
The room was basic but perfect for our needs. It consisted of four single beds and plenty of storage space as well as a great size bathroom.
The room had plenty of charging points, temperature controls and enough towels, complimentary toiletries, lollies on our pillows when we arrived and comfortable beds and bedding.
Despite being on a super busy street, we slept well each night and have no complaints at all about our room or the hotel in general.
The Oriente Atiram Hotel facilities
As well as the bedrooms and beautiful lobby, the Oriente Hotel also has meeting spaces, buffet breakfast on offer and luggage storage facilities – which we made use of on our last day at the hotel, freeing us up to explore Barcelona for one last day without needing to take our bags with us.
We had such a great break in Barcelona and staying at a hotel that was so well located meant we could really make the most of the trip. We were able to walk easily to the port and beach as well as into the heart of Barcelona to see the sites. Everywhere was really accessible and the Metro system was just a stone’s throw away too.
We can’t fault Oriente Atiram Hotel and loved staying there. It was basic but perfect and the staff were great. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Barcelona in the future.
