Me & Mine {September 2023}

September was a month where if you blinked you’d miss it. It went by so first, a real whirlwind of a month. I mainly put that down to the fact that we only got back from holiday a few days before September and have been pretty much non-stop since, with back to school, back to work and so many plans.

We had a really lovely weekend away at Alton Towers with our closest friends, I did the Thames Bridges Trek and I took the kids to the circus. Plus, I finished the month with a weekend at Potters in Essex, leaving Dave and the kids to have a weekend of relaxing, gaming and catching up on Star Wars TV shows!

So, this month has been a good mix of time together, time with friends and time doing our own thing. It’s been a juggle at times but we’ve got through it and it feels like the kids are settled back into school as well.

LP is in Year 8 now and it feels like she’s really settled into secondary school. She’s found her people and has relaxed into the routine now that she has the first year under her belt. Little Man on the other hand, is enjoying his last year at Primary School before secondary next year. The years are whizzing by!

I hope that, whatever you have been up to, that September has been kind to you. Here’s to October!
