Easter Egg Hunts and Easter Trails in Surrey 2026

There’s nothing that kids love more over the Easter holidays than Easter trails or Easter egg hunts – especially if they get a nice chocolate treat at the end. We always make sure we do at least one Easter trail over the Easter weekend – it’s great family fun – and so I’ve put together our favourite Easter trails across Surrey to inspire you to go on an Easter adventure too.

Easter Trails in Surrey

National Trust Easter Trails

National Trust Easter trails are great fun. They used to be Cadbury Easter Trails but Cadburys stopped sponsoring them in recent years. Even so, they’re a great day out for the whole family and lovely to invite the grandparents to as well!

Each of the National Trust trails cost £3.50 per child and include a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

Easter Holidays – Easter Detectives – 28th March to 12th April 2026 – 10am – 5pm

Just as the Easter Bunny was ready to deliver chocolate across the country, disaster struck. Every egg basket was found empty, with a cheeky carrot left behind framing the rabbit. Eight intriguing characters were spotted nearby… can you uncover who really committed the crime?

Plus, get to explore all that Wisley has to offer – The Laboratory, the beautiful Mixed Borders, Battleston Hill, The Bowes-Lyon Rose Garden, The Rock Garden, Oakwood, the incredible Glass House and so much more.

Bluebell in Lavenderland: The Trail to Find the Golden Eggs – 21st March to 4th May 2026

Join Bluebell and her friends at the Secret Lavender Garden for Easter and Spring Fun! Step into a magical springtime adventure and follow Bluebell on a delightful Easter trail through the Secret Lavender Garden. Bluebell and her friends are on an important mission. The golden eggs have gone missing and they need your help to find them.

Hampton Court Palace – Hampton Ct Way, Molesey, East Molesey KT8 9AU

The Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt – 21st March to 12 April 2026

Included with the cost of admission, and members go free, The Lindt Gold Bunny hunt is back at Hampton Court Palace this Easter! Find the Lindt Gold Bunny and discover the stories of fascinating people who visited, lived and worked at Hampton Court Palace in years gone by.

Use the trail map to explore the palace gardens and find the Lindt Gold Bunny statues that are hiding there. Plus, match up the name of the important palace character on the trail to the red ribbon on the bunny statue at each location.

Explore the whole of Hampton Court Palace – not forgetting the Magic Garden, Maze and gardens. When you’re done, collect a Lindt Gold Bunny chocolate as a reward at the end.

Easter Egg Trail – 28th March 2026 – 10am to 2pm

The fabulous Easter Egg Trail returns to Rosebery Park this Easter and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever! Search the park for hidden clues to reveal the mystery prize – it’s a fun, interactive way to kick start the school holidays.

Every child that takes part will receive a prize! There are goody bags, Easter treats and more – so you won’t want to miss it! Not only is this a brilliant family activity but it also helps to support older people living in our Borough, as all proceeds support the vital services of Age Concern Epsom & Ewell.

Gatton Park – Redhill, Reigate, Surrey RH2 0TW

Easter Egg Hunt – 3rd April 2026 and 5th April 2026

Included in the cost of admission, visit Gatton Park this Easter for a springtime stroll and join in with the Easter trails and fun activities. With the Japanese Garden, Rock Garden and fantastic children’s wild trails to explore, it’s a great day out for the whole family.

Plant a colourful spring basket – £8 – Plant three colourful plants in a wicker basket decorated with a raffia bow, to create a lovely Easter gift or place in your garden. Advanced booking essential.

Spring Flower Hunt – £2.50 – Follow the clues around the centre to help find the magic word and receive a chocolate treat – No booking required.


Hobbledown Epsom – Horton Lane, Epsom KT19 8PT

Easter Eggsplorers – 28th March to 12th April 2026 – included with the cost of admission

At the Easter Egg’splorers event, follow the themed egg trail, climb and explore across indoor and outdoor adventure play areas, and meet animals along the way – all designed to create joyful spring memories for children and their grown-ups.


Albury Vineyard – Silent Pool, Shere Road, Albury, Surrey GU5 9BW

Easter Trail – 3rd, 4th and 6th April 2026 – 11am – 4pm

Enjoy a self guided vineyard tour this Easter. With stunning views over the Surrey Hills and a great opportunity to find out more about English wine! The kids will love the Easter themed trail and they get a chocolate treat at the end too. Dogs on leads welcome.

Cost: £7.50 per person and each adult will be given a £5 voucher to redeem against shop purchases.


Shetland Pony Club – The Ranch, Blue Bell Lane, Stoke D’Abernon, Cobham, Surrey KT11 3PW

Easter Egg Hunt – 3 April 2026 – 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm

For the ultimate Easter pony riding, take part in the fun Shetland Pony Easter Egg Hunts, with pony dress up, you can learn to ride along a long trail with chocolate eggs to find in the countryside, followed by a rosette presentation.

Each child will have their own pony and helper.

Amazing Easter fun for children aged 4 – 10 years old.

Cost: £89 per child.
