There’s nothing that kids love more over the Easter holidays than Easter trails or Easter egg hunts – especially if they get a nice chocolate treat at the end. We always make sure we do at least one Easter trail over the Easter weekend – it’s great family fun – and so I’ve put together our favourite Easter trails across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to inspire you to go on an Easter adventure too.

National Trust Easter Trails

Have an Easter adventure as you make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Visit a National Trust site and explore the beautiful parks and gardens.

Winchester Science Centre – Telegraph Way, Winchester SO21 1HZ

Let’s Go Bunny Hunt! at Winchester Science Centre – 14th March to 19th April 2026

Step into an immerse, story-filled adventure at Winchester Science Centre, where little explorers discover the wildlife of the South Downs through movement, sound and imagination!

Children will follow an interactive trail around the centre, tracking the secret clues animals leave behind as they search for Bunny. Along the way, they’ll discover that nature isn’t just something you see – it’s something you hear, sense and explore.

Children’s Easter Event – 29th March 2026

This Children’s Easter event will feature a visit from Ems Friendly Farm with lots of animals on-site including some baby goats that the children can feed and pet. On top of this you will receive an Easter egg at the end of the fabulous egg-hunt along with various craft activities all included within the admission price!

Finkley Down Farm Park – North Way, Andover, Hampshire SP11 6NF

Finkley Easter Eggstravaganza – Saturday 28th March to Friday 10th April 2026

Find all the Eggs hidden around the farm to earn yourself a sweet treat plus say hello to the friendly animals and enjoy all the fun of Finkley!

Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway – Exbury, Southampton, Hampshire SO45 1AZ

Nutshell Easter Trail – 28th March to 12th April 2026

In a leafy woodland not far away, our Nutshell friends scamper and play. Can you follow the instructions and find the homes of our Nutshell friends who have camped around the gardens? Once you have completed the trail, you can collect your chocolate prize and enter the draw for a Friends of Exbury family membership.

Itchen Valley Country Park – Allington Ln, West End, Southampton SO30 3HQ

The Big Adventure Trail – 28th March to 12th April 2026

This Easter, something egg-straordinary is hiding in the woodland at Itchen Valley Country Park… BIG EGGS! Grab your explorer eyes and head off along the trail to discover eggs laid by different creatures from around the world. Some are small, some are spotty, and some are so big you might not believe they’re real!

At each trail stop, you’ll find a life-sized egg. Can you guess which animal laid it before you read the clue? Step carefully, look closely, and have an egg-cellent time. Ready to crack the clues? Let the Big Egg Trail begin! £3 per trail pack.

Whitchurch Silk Mill – 28 Winchester Street, Whitchurch, Hampshire RG28 7AL

Family Easter Trail – 31st March to 2nd April 2026 – £7.50 per child, with one adult free per child

This spring, visit Whitchurch Silk Mill for a delightful adventure through the historic Mill and its beautiful riverside grounds. Pick up your trail sheet and all the things you need to make a pair of bunny ears at the Mill reception, then set off to explore the Mill, garden, and riverbanks.

Army Flying Museum – Middle Wallop, Stockbridge, Hampshire SO20 8FB

Easter Holiday Family Fun – Weekdays from 30th March to 10th April 2026

Visit the Army Flying Museum for lots of fun Easter themed crafts and trails. With everything from Spring Crowns to Pop Up Rabbits, the activities are sure to keep everyone entertained.

Queen Elizabeth Country Park – Gravel Hill, Horndean, Hampshire PO8 0QE

The Big Butser Egg Roll – 28th March to 12th April 2026

Find all the signs of spring to lead you to the bottom of Butser Hill. Once there you can give your rubber egg a good throw and see how far it rolls!

Each pack comes with a trail guide, a pack of pencils, a springtime craft to take home and a rubber egg to decorate. Priced at £6 per pack.

Longdown Activity Farm – Deerleap Lane, Ashurst, Southampton, Hampshire SO40 7EH

The Great Big Golden Egg Hunt – 3rd to 6th April 2026

Who will find the platinum egg! The popular Longdown Golden Egg Hunt is back again this year. There are nineteen golden eggs to find every day, PLUS one very special platinum egg! There are no clues, and they are VERY hard to find. There will be a prize for those who are fortunate enough to find a golden egg, and an eggstra special prize awarded to the person who finds the platinum egg.
