We love baking flapjacks at home and one of our favourite recipes is this Condensed Milk Flapjack. It’s lovely and creamy with a firm, chewy outside and a rich, dense centre. It’s the kind of bake everyone will love.
What do you need to make this flapjack?
This easy flapjack recipe couldn’t be easier. You just need sweetened condensed milk, butter, sugar, golden syrup and rolled oats. Using condensed milk keeps the flapjack nice and moist whilst still making them wonderfully soft chewy flapjacks.
For this recipe we tend to use butter although margarine works well too and we mostly use golden caster sugar but white caster sugar, granulated sugar or soft brown sugar also work well. It’s a great recipe to use whatever you have in the cupboards at the time.
Can you vary this recipe?
This is a really basic home made flapjack recipe but it can be varied really easily. You could add dried fruit, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, chocolate chips, nuts or anything else you have in the cupboards. You can make this into fruity flapjacks, chocolate flapjacks or just leave them plain.
