If you’re a gin fan then gin tasting is such a great activity for a night out or special occasion. You can order a premium gin flight at many bars that come with tasting notes or you can join organised gin tasting experiences where you taste gins as a group whilst being guided through them with a knowledgeable host.
I thought it would be good to put together all the places you can experience gin tasting in Surrey along with Surrey distillery tours – with many that also include gin tasting sessions – and also gin cocktail making workshops and other gin tours and gin experiences Surrey.
Gin Distillery Tours in Surrey
Silent Pool Distillers – Silent Pool Distillery, Shere Road, Albury, Surrey GU5 9BW
Silent Pool Distillery Tour – Dive into the world of Silent Pool Gin on a popular distillery tour. The distillery sits in the heart of the Surrey Hills. Visit to see where Silent Pool handcraft, distil and bottle their iconic gin. The guide will explain the legend of the Silent Pool, why and how they chose the location for the distillery, and the history of gin itself. Visit the stills that make the spirits and find out about the four-stage distillation process and how they get the best out of the carefully selected botanicals that flavour the gins. And of course you get to taste the range of spirits too!
You’ll also receive a £5 voucher to use in the distillery shop. Tours last 90 minutes.
When: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Surrey Copper Distillery – 222 Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh, Surrey GU6 8GA

Distillery Tour – The tour begins with the chief distiller telling you all about the fundamentals of gin, how gin is made and introducing you to some of the botanicals used to make Copperfield London Dry Gin. After the talk you get to enjoy the walking tour of the distillery beginning with an introduction to Clara, the unique 300 litre mini carterhead, solid copper still.
The tour finishes with a tutored tasting of the Surrey Copper Distillery range of spirits. Guests are provided with a set of sample cups, each of which will contain a different neat spirit. Mixers are provided as required.
All guests will get a £5 off voucher for use in the distillery shop.

Silent Pool Artisan Tasting Day – A fascinating and flavour-filled day out with the Artisans based at the Silent Pool. Nestled around the Silent Pool are a small group of artisans who produce exceptional food and drink. On the Artisan Tasting Day you’ll be introduced to the Artisans and have a tour around the distillery. It’s a fascinating and flavour-filled day out that includes lunch.
When: Selected dates through the year.

Surrey Tasting Rooms – 38 Church St, Reigate RH2 0AJ
The Tasting Rooms – The Surrey Tasting Rooms is a collaboration between The Vineking, Crumbs Brewing, Hurt Liqueur and Batts Hill Gin. It features a locally sourced menu, including cocktails, wines, keg and canned beers and award winning cheese and charcuterie and hosts regular events, Wine Tastings, Gin Master Classes, Beer and Curry Nights.
When: Every Thursday and Friday evening.
