Thereโ€™s nothing that kids love more over the Easter holidays than Easter trails or Easter egg hunts โ€“ especially if they get a nice chocolate treat at the end. We always make sure we do at least one Easter trail over the Easter weekend โ€“ itโ€™s great family fun โ€“ and so Iโ€™ve put together our favourite Easter trails across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to inspire you to go on an Easter adventure too.

National Trust Easter Trails

Have an Easter adventure as you make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Visit a National Trust site and explore the beautiful parks and gardens.

Winchester Science Centre – Telegraph Way, Winchester SO21 1HZ

Easter st Winchester Science Centre – 4th to 22nd April 2025

It wouldnโ€™t be Easter without an egg hunt. Visit the science centre for an oviparity egg hunt. That means youโ€™ll be looking for eggs laid by animals that hatch. What birds will you find? Will there be a creepy crawly or two? And will you be surprised to find out a few other species that hatch?

Donโ€™t worry, the hunt is a picture trail! And once youโ€™ve found all the eggs, youโ€™ll be in for a delicious Easter treat.

Childrenโ€™s Easter Event – 6th April 2025

This Childrenโ€™s Easter event will feature a visit from Ems Friendly Farm with lots of animals on-site including some baby goats that the children can feed and pet. On top of this you will receive an Easter egg at the end of the fabulous egg-hunt along with various craft activities all included within the admission price!

Hot Cross Bun-anza Easter Trail – 5th to 21st April 2025

Explore the spectacular gardens on a fun family trail, helping the Hot Cross Bunny solve another mystery. Follow the clues, look for the missing buns, complete the trail and collect a chocolate prize!

Enchanting Willow Creatures Trail โ€“ 4th April to 1st June 2025

Step into a magical woodland adventure this springtime where teamwork is key to uncovering hidden clues and completing tricky tasks! But bewareโ€”these tasks are set by the mischievous boggarts, who are watching your every move! ยฃ4 per trail pack.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Mill โ€“ 16th April 2025

Explore the Mill grounds in search of the missing chocolates left by the Easter bunny! Each child will receive a bag to collect their chocolate and they will have 13 letters (chocolates) to find.

The Big Butser Egg Roll โ€“ 5th to 21st April 2025

Find all the signs of spring to lead you to the bottom of Butser Hill. Once there you can give your rubber egg a good throw and see how far it rolls!

Each pack comes with a trail guide, a pack of pencils, a springtime craft to take home and a rubber egg to decorate. Priced at ยฃ6 per pack.

The Great Big Golden Egg Hunt โ€“ 18th to 21st April 2025

Who will find the platinum egg! The popular Longdown Golden Egg Hunt is back again this year. There are nineteen golden eggs to find every day, PLUS one very special platinum egg! There are no clues, and they are VERY hard to find. There will be a prize for those who are fortunate enough to find a golden egg, and an eggstra special prize awarded to the person who finds the platinum egg.

Eggsplore with Penn Croft – 18th April 2025

Those naughty little bunnies have run off with our easter treats, and you need to help find them on this Easter Trail! Your journey starts with an easter trail along the footpaths and through the woods. Follow the rabbit paw prints and mark off items you see along the way. On returning to the Cellar Door collect your prize for a job well done.

Then step into the animal encounter, meet an array of British creatures who will reveal the wonders of our native wildlife. After your adventures, head to the Penn Croft Tent to collect your hot dog, drink, activity book and puzzle.

Easter Egg Hunt โ€“ 18th to 20th April 2025
