Siblings {September 2017}
I cannot believe I’m writing September’s Siblings post already. I really have no idea where the last month has gone – it’s been a blur of LP’s birthday and back to school with so much going on in between.
This has been the quickest month yet but we have crammed so much in and had so many great days out and adventures. For LP’s birthday we went to Drayton Manor which has turned into such a ritual for us but a day out we all really enjoy.
We also had a mini break in Essex and went to Colchester Zoo for the first time which is now our favourite zoo – and we can’t wait to go back! The children loved it and it was such a long but fun filled day out – if you haven’t been you should definitely go.
And at the start of the month we met up with Laura and her daughters for a lovely trip to Manydown Farm, another ritual for us as it’s turned into an annual event. It was such a nice day and the children got on so well.
But, before we knew it the summer was over – as were our preschool days – and Little Man started school – the same day LP went back after the summer. They have both been absolute stars with the return to school. Little Man has taken it completely in his stride and LP just loves being back at school. They love going to school together, seeing each other at lunch and break times and just doing the same thing each day – together. They are definitely tired from it though but I’m hoping in a few weeks they’ll have got used to the new routine.
September hasn’t been the best for the weather but it’s been a lovely month for us with so much going on – and finished off with a weekend away at Calcot Manor. We have crammed so much in and I hope that can continue now we’re back at school. I know LP and Little Man love all the adventures we go on – as they are happiest when they’re together.
Lovely photos Donna. I really like the matching school uniform. Both kids in school now probably seems surreal doesn’t it? I still have 2 or 3 years until my second one will be heading to big school. 🙂 #thesiblingsproject
Ah, a belated happy birthday to LP! You crammed so much in, and were just around the corner from us at Drayton Manor. My son’s started school this month, too, it is lovely to see the pair of them chatting about it and happily going in each day, isn’t it? x
Oh look at them in their matching school uniforms so cute. They are growing up way too fast and looking so much like twins here. It’s like mini you and mini hubby too. You have been a busy bee happy birthday. #siblingsproject
August/September is always a month of two halves isn’t it? Sounds like there were a lot of adventures for your two x
