Me & Mine {September 2017}

Oh my gosh where has this month gone? I’m a day late with my Me & Mine this week as the end of the month pretty much caught me off guard – I was away yesterday for Britmums Live and I was away for the whole of last weekend for Blog On in Manchester so my photo taking opportunities have been severely lacking this month.

Instead, we got up this morning and took a PJ photo in bed. Life doesn’t get more real than this really. I don’t think the photo is properly in focus but it shows us during a pretty natural moment. LP and Little Man always climb into bed with us in the morning, dragging cuddly toys in with them. Little Man always shares my side, LP shares Dave’s side. On days when Dave’s been working a night and isn’t there in the morning the children stretch out, taking up his side completely.

I love weekends now where we can actually lay in bed and chat, start the day at a slower pace and just relax. It doesn’t happen often as we usually have plans but today the weather cancelled our plans and instead we are staying at home, enjoying each other’s company and just resting.

This month has been a busy one – with the children going back to school, Little Man for the very first time, and with me trying to get into a proper working routine during school hours. We also had a lovely weekend at Calcot Manor and in all honesty, each week has blurred into the next. I’m hoping October brings a more leisurely pace, more time together and the start of our autumn adventures too. September has been so quick, lovely but busy and I’m glad that October is now here.

  1. It’s a lovely picture of you all – I think sometimes the natural ones at home are the best ones. Lovely to see you last weekend too 🙂 #MeandMine

  2. We were the exact same. I had to put a family photo session in the calendar for the weekend as we didn’t get the chance to take on the weekend before that as I was at BlogOn myself. #meandmine

  3. I feel you on the need for more time and September blinked by us all I think getting back into the routines of life from summer always does that to us. I am hoping you have been able to enjoy October a bit more lovely with family chill time. Love the snuggled up photo. Always want to do a family snuggle one for us but our bedrooms are so dark. This is lovely. #meandmineproject
