Little Man is 7 Months Old

Wow, 7 Months old already! How did that happen? I know I say that every month but each month really does seem to whizz by in the blink of an eye. This month has probably been Little Man’s most productive – We’ve had a month of baby led weaning that is going amazingly and the other big thing in Little Man’s life is that he has mastered rolling. LM now rolls one way, rolls the other way, pivots in circles and gets anywhere he wants to in the room – he will see a toy and get to it any way he possible can, he is a determined, strong little boy and it’s a joy to watch him grow and develop.

LM and LP absolutely adore each other and it’s amazing to see. LP gives Little Man hugs and kisses and pats him on the head all the time. She loves him incredibly and he will run across the room in his walker to go and see her. He has mastered the walker and moves easily around the room in it, moving with such speed – his little legs hopping backwards and forwards so quickly, it’s our favourite thing to see – Little Man’s huge grinning face zooming towards you on these little but chunky feet speeding along below. So funny!

Little Man now weighs 17lb 11oz (as at 6.5 months) and he is very much going into 6-9 month clothes, some 3-6 months clothes still fit but not many, and 6-9 months are mostly slightly big still. Little Man is a very solid little boy and happily sits in his highchair although doesn’t sit unsupported yet. He has his two bottom front teeth and the top front ones will be through before we know it!

LM still has a 5-6pm-ish bedtime and will not stay up any later. His sleep is still all over the place although we’ve seen some improvement since he’s started rolling onto his front in the night but generally he still wakes every 3 hours for a feed. This is exhausting but I know it won’t be forever.

Overall Little Man is an incredibly happy little boy. He is a joy to be around and his smile lights up the room.
