Enjoying the Sunshine with Cotton Traders

Disclosure: We were sent the featured products for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.

The clocks have just changed, the weather is brighter, the days are longer and we are flying, full steam ahead towards the summer months. The year seems to be going by so quickly and, as much as I’d like it to slow down, I cannot wait for the warmer weather and long days of sunshine.

This is the time of year where I love to sort out my wardrobe, pack away the winter knits and get out all the summer clothes. I have a big try on session, see what I still like, what still fits, what I need to get rid of and what extra pieces I need to fill the gaps in my wardrobe for the coming season.

This year I have so many clothes, and not too many gaps to fill. But I always like to look at the new season from Cotton Traders to see if anything catches my eye. One of my favourite staples is always their short dresses that end just below my knee. Lightweight, a great shape and perfect for the spring and summer. Plus, they have pockets too!

They’re great dresses for everyday wear, teamed with trainers or strappy sandals and with a cardigan thrown on when worn on cooler days. So light, they’re great for holidays and can be worn for everything from a day trip playing tourists to an evening out for dinner and drinks.

Aside from that, I love to get some new tops each year – staples like camis and vest tops and short sleeved tees, all in a variety of colours. Ones that can be worn with anything and others that are bright and summery, adding a splash of colour to any day of the week.

I’m so looking forward to wearing lighter clothes, lighter layers and feeling the sun on my face. The winter has felt so long this year and it will be lovely to embrace the seasons as they change as much as we can – especially when it comes to what we’re wearing!
