If there’s one thing we love as a family it’s matching clothes, especially matching pyjamas. There’s nothing quite like the whole family watching a movie or playing games, all wearing the same PJs and it’s something we love to do often, particularly at Christmas.
Over the last few years I’ve come to realise that our family absolutely love the great outdoors – but only when the weather’s nice. We tend to go into hibernation mode as soon as the weather changes in September, not really emerging again until winter thaws in about March. Does this sound familiar to you?
I ended up having to isolate over the last couple of weeks and so spent all my time at home – and a lot of it in bed, feeling pretty rotten! But, when I was well enough, I embraced my loungewear collection and tried to just relax as much as possible. Little Man and I
As a family, we love the outdoors and go on outdoor adventures all year round. However, I’m the first to admit that I’m never very prepared for anything other than sunshine. Whilst the children have wellies and waterproofs, I always forget about myself and just grab the nearest clothing and footwear. Until now.
Now that the kids have gone back to school it really feels like autumn is on its way. It’s my favourite season and one that I always make an effort to embrace. Most importantly, I have to have clothes that suit the seasons and autumn is my favourite to dress for – with layers, knits
It’s no secret that I loved loungewear before it was fashionable – and long before the pandemic. I’d love to have PJ days at home, or days just wearing joggers and a hoodie whereas friends felt like they had to get properly dressed – and a matching set of comfies wasn’t their idea of daywear.
Although we had some lovely weather a week or two ago, I’m starting to wonder whether the summer is now over and we’ve moved to autumn already! Because of this, we don’t have a huge amount of plans over the summer, preferring to spend time at home, relaxing after such an uncertain year.
LP and Little Man haven’t had consistent swimming lessons for a while – due to the pandemic and our local leisure centre closing for refurbishment. But, next week they start lessons again and they couldn’t be more excited, especially with brand new onesies to wear afterwards thanks to Cookie Dough Kids.
Is there anything better than loungewear? I’ll be honest, I loved loungewear long before the pandemic and the fact that it now takes up a big chunk of most wardrobes makes me so happy. Both versatile and comfortable, loungewear is something I could happily live in – and now LP thinks so too!
