Now, I’m not the world’s biggest fan of Valentines. I have before shared my thoughts on it being just another Hallmark holiday but even so Dave and I do still exchange cards and we do try and have a meal together around Valentines Day. Apart from that though I do think all the Valentines themed gifts and huge displays of affection can get a bit much – we love each other all year after all, not just on February 14th.

But any special date on the calendar is always bound to raise a bit of excitement in the press and on the internet. Valentines Day has inspired loads of blog posts, lots of talk across social media and even a few Valentines themed videos – not to mention the hundreds of gift lists all for that one heart shaped occasion. Valentines, complete with hearts and flowers, was the theme of that weekend, the week before and a few days afterwards and most of the Valentines updates I scrolled past on the internet I had little or no interest in but one jumped out at me. Co-op Insurance made a Puppy Love video for Valentines Day that I just had to watch – and I bet anyone would smile whilst watching it.

We’re huge pet fans, and singing dogs isn’t something you see every day – especially when they’re in a boy band and serenading you with a ballad! I loved the video, the different dog types and dog personalities but most of all I loved the feel good feeling after watching it.

If there’s one way I’d love to celebrate Valentines in future it’s with a group of singing puppies – all with matching outfits. But if this is something you want to recreate for a special occasion just remember, Puppy Love isn’t just for Valentines!
