All Ravensburger 3D puzzles have a clever design where the plastic pieces click together, making the finished model really sturdy and perfect to put on display. The puzzle balls have that same great design but magically create a puzzle sphere that comes with a stand to display it on or thread and a hanger to suspend it from a ceiling.

The Star Wars Death Star 3D Puzzle Ball has 540 pieces and Little Man’s first job was to organise the pieces, putting them in order so that he could start to build the ball. This is time consuming but quite an educational process, getting children to count all the way up to 540!

Little Man put the pieces in piles – hundreds, two hundreds etc and then methodically worked through them, building from piece number 1 all the way through to 540. He spread the building out over a few days but, if a child was in the right mood and focused enough they could happily complete the puzzle ball in a day.
