Over recent weeks we’ve started making more variations of our favourite banana cake recipe to get us excited for that classic bake again. I’m sure, like most people, we baked more than our fair share of banana loaves over the course of the pandemic so we need something to reignite our love for them again.

Peanut Butter Banana Loaf Cake

Our latest creation is a wonderful banana peanut butter cake. It’s quite like a banana bread recipe, so moreish and would be lovely spread with Nutella but is equally as lovely eaten as it is alongside a nice cup of tea.

What peanut butter should you use for this bake?

This peanut butter banana bread uses crunchy peanut butter which adds an extra level of texture to the bake but you could use a smooth and creamy peanut butter instead if you wanted. You could even add a handful of chocolate chips if you wanted for a banana peanut butter chocolate cake!
