Me & Mine {May 2015}
May has been my favourite month of the year so far. Each month Dave and I work around each other and only have one or two days a month as a family. It’s our routine, we’ve got used to it and the children don’t miss out at all as they always have time with one or the other of us and when we’re both there we make sure we go on a day out, do something exciting and really make the most of those days together.
But May has been a month of annual leave and we have enjoyed over two weeks as a family. It was time that we really needed, time that we loved and time that we appreciated. I live for those days each month as a family, they break up the norm and are a great change from routine so having two weeks worth of those days, of quality time with my favourite people was fantastic. It couldn’t have been better.
But, it was like having two weeks of weekends, full to bursting with activities and adventures. It was exhausting! But we loved every minute. I’m now looking forward to the summer holidays where we won’t have the same amount of time as a family but at least we’ll have LP home from preschool.
I always love when we get a solid lump of time off all together, I think we tend to all fall in love all over again without the pressures of work and preschool and house stuff.
And it definitely shows in your photos that you were enjoying your family time together; such relaxed happy pictures. x
You definitely had a fun-filled May! I love that picture of your feet in the sea 🙂
Toes in the sand what a beautiful feeling. Loving your family portrait this month darling. So happy and full of fun. #meandmine
Ooh love these ones Donna, looks so natural and happy. Lovely that you’ve had the break and time together as a family but I can imagine it must be tiring being on the go the whole time, I love our lazy days at home just as much as the busy days! xx #meandmine
I love that you have had a great May. I think it is so important getting away together just to regroup. Away from all the household running etc. It looks like you had an amazing few weeks x
Always great to have some family time. #meandmine
Aaah what a lovely thing!! TWO WEEKS as a family!! I’m really envious! I can’t wait for my boy to take some annual leave so we can spend longer than a weekend together. It’s so lovely isn’t it, when you’re all together. SUCH lovely happy photos Donna! 🙂 #MeAndMine

How lovely to have this long block of time together. The two long weekends have meant a few more family days for us too this month, which was great! Great family portrait and love the sea shot #meandmine xx
