Every child loves a playhouse and this summer we had been intending to get one for the children when Little Tikes got in touch to introduce us to their new range of outdoor toys. We were sent the Little Tikes Cape Cottage to review and I think I was more excited than the children when it arrived and couldn’t wait for Dave to put it together
How easy was the Little Tikes Playhouse to put together?
The Little Tikes playhouse comes in one large box and has clear instructions to help put it together. Dave put the playhouse together by himself and it took about half an hour. When complete the Cape Cottage is really sturdy but not too heavy so you can move it from place to place with ease.
What features does the Little Tikes Playhouse have?
The children loved Cape Cottage immediately and couldn’t wait to play in it. It has half height doors on either side and shuttered windows on the other sides. It also features two post boxes and two flag holders on opposite sides – although we are yet to get a flag!
The children have now been playing with Cape Cottage for a couple of weeks and absolutely love it. They love to play in it no matter the weather and it’s a great size to put chairs in or other toys – the perfect place to play out of the sun or rain.
Cape Cottage comes with stickers to put on some parts and the only slight criticism is that these are hard to apply with no bubbles in them but even with bubbles they look great and add to the lovely appearance of Cape Cottage.
A playhouse in the garden has given the children so many more play options outside and I know that Cape Cottage will be a fixture in the garden for years to come! It’s hard wearing, well made and easy to clean. There really isn’t anything we don’t like about it and to make it even better there’s also a choice of colour options.
Cape Cottage has an RRP of £99.99
That play house looks amazing! I wanted to buy him one ages ago but thought nah he won’t ‘ve interested in it long enough but he went over to the neighbours one. he’s nearly 3 now. do you think he’s too old for one?
Not at all! LP is nearly 4 and loves it, I think they’ll be loving playhouses until they’re 5+! x
This looks amazing, we have an old little tikes house which was my oldest daughters ten years ago and it is still going strong now and my toddler loves to play in it xx
Oh isn’t it lovely? And the kind of toy they will play with for hours and hours 🙂
