Back to Normal {The Ordinary Moments}

Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you haven’t joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. It’s a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life – or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically – anything goes. I’ll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and there’s a badge at the bottom of the post if you’d like to add it to yours too.

Well, back to normal isn’t quite right but we’re as back to normal as we possibly can be, a week after moving back to our house, whilst the loft conversion continues and in the middle of a pandemic.

But, the children love their new rooms and are back in a routine of getting ready in the mornings and the way things work when we get home after school. They’re used to the work going on and they love having all their things around them again.

I’m loving being able to juggle work with life and home stuff that much easier. I like that I only have one home to manage and I can do washing and things that much easier.

The builders left on Friday and we have a handful of little jobs that will be finished over the next week and then the loft will be decorated in half term. It has all happened so quickly and so much more smoothly than I was expecting. I can’t quite believe the end is in sight.

The house is feeling a little more back together, parts are still a mess and I am learning to live with this level of upheaval and work around it for a few more weeks until the carpets are fitted in the loft and we can move in and start using the space properly. It’s exciting and I will be so, so glad when that time comes!

The Ordinary Moments

If you have an ordinary moment this week, come and link up – I’m looking forward to reading the moments that you share and will comment and share them on Twitter through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part.
