Me & Mine {August 2016}

This month has been the best month for us as a family. I had almost three weeks off work, Dave had about that too and it was so good to spend a good chunk of time together as a family.

We started the month in Greece, on our Mark Warner holiday, and had the most amazing week. It gave us all a chance to relax, unwind, do our own thing but have time together too. It was a holiday we really needed and one we couldn’t have enjoyed any more than we did. I’m now longing for another holiday!

We have had so many days out this month – a Day Out With Thomas and a day in London on the London Eye and to London Zoo. We have packed in as much as we can around our shift work and it has been exhausting – we have been so busy – but it has been so worth it too.

The month finished off with LP’s fifth Birthday, a soft play party and then a family barbecue, and a day at Drayton Manor, one of the children’s most favourite of places.

August has been incredible. It has been so full – of memories, friends, family and time together. If this is what summer holidays are going to be like I cannot wait for the next one.

  1. August seems to have been a great month for everybody. Like you we enjoyed our first family holiday abroad.
    I hear so many things about Drayton Manor, I’d love to visit one day.

  2. We’ve loved August too, hasn’t the long stretch with kids off been lovely. I wish we’d managed to have Rich off work a little more, but we’ve made the most of family time and it’s been bliss. I feel like family memories are what summers are all about. And I love your photo, you look so relaxed. And I love that sideways glance at a certain big sisters ice lolly too! x

  3. It seems like August has been a lovely month for so many families. It must be to do with the good weather we’ve had, which means we’ve all been able to get out and about a bit more! Lovely photo. xx
