A New Term {The Ordinary Moments}

Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you haven’t joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. It’s a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life – or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically – anything goes. I’ll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and there’s a badge at the bottom of the post if you’d like to add it to yours too.

A New Term {The Ordinary Moments}

And just like that we are back to school. The children went back on Thursday and it was so hard! They got up and it was dark and wet outside. They got dressed and ready for school but they weren’t the happiest – they wanted to still be in bed or having a PJ day at home.

But, by the time we left for school they were excited to see their friends, get back into a routine and have lunch at school. Thursdays is roast dinner day too so that was an added bonus and something else to look forward to.

They only spent two days at school this week but they are exhausted. Not wanting to do much after school and happy when bed time comes around. But, I’m looking forward to next week. A proper week of routine and getting back to normality. We all need to get into the swing of getting up, getting ready and school runs and so next week will be easier I’m sure.

The holidays were great but they went far too quickly – like always – and I’m already looking forward to February half term! But for now life is back to school days and weekends, homework, reading books, PE kits and uniform. I really am living for the weekends again already.

  3. We went back on Tuesday and I must say, I have welcomed the routine to life again. It was so great to have these last couple of weeks of chilled days, but routine and getting out is so good too! They’re looking more and more alike in these pics Donna – so cute! x #OrdinaryMoments
