A New Term {The Ordinary Moments}

Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you haven’t joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. It’s a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life – or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically – anything goes. I’ll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and there’s a badge at the bottom of the post if you’d like to add it to yours too.

And just like that we are back to school. The children went back on Thursday and it was so hard! They got up and it was dark and wet outside. They got dressed and ready for school but they weren’t the happiest – they wanted to still be in bed or having a PJ day at home.

But, by the time we left for school they were excited to see their friends, get back into a routine and have lunch at school. Thursdays is roast dinner day too so that was an added bonus and something else to look forward to.

They only spent two days at school this week but they are exhausted. Not wanting to do much after school and happy when bed time comes around. But, I’m looking forward to next week. A proper week of routine and getting back to normality. We all need to get into the swing of getting up, getting ready and school runs and so next week will be easier I’m sure.

The holidays were great but they went far too quickly – like always – and I’m already looking forward to February half term! But for now life is back to school days and weekends, homework, reading books, PE kits and uniform. I really am living for the weekends again already.

The Ordinary Moments

If you have an ordinary moment this week, come and link up – I’m looking forward to reading the moments that you share and will comment and share them on Twitter through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part.

    We don’t go back till tomorrow but I know getting everyone up and out is going to be such a challenge. This is by far my least favourite term.

    Our return to normality is tomorrow when my husband goes back to work, but I can imagine it hits even harder when school is involved! Hopefully half term will roll around quickly. Thanks for hosting – I’m trying to write more personal posts this year, so I’m hoping that joining in with The Ordinary Moments will prompt me to do that!

    I’m on countdown to February all ready! We went back Thursday too and to be fair, it was a nice way to ease them back in gently! Mine still don’t want to return again on Monday though!

    Time certainly sounds like it’s slipping away. I certainly understand the desire for pj days and family weekends. #ordinarymoments

    We went back on Tuesday and I must say, I have welcomed the routine to life again. It was so great to have these last couple of weeks of chilled days, but routine and getting out is so good too! They’re looking more and more alike in these pics Donna – so cute! x #OrdinaryMoments
