Good Morning! {The Ordinary Moments}

Up until a month or so ago we had always had a Gro-Blind up in Little Man’s room and so the mornings, and during the day, was just pitch black. We took the blind down recently and our mornings are now so much nicer – and thankfully sleeping is as good as it always has been.

Now, Little Man tends to wake up first in the morning and I go into his room, open the curtains and sing ‘Good morning, good morning’ to him. The first thing I see is him, standing in the cot, holding his cuddly toys and looking like a little sleepyhead in his sleeping bag.

I then get him dressed and change his nappy before taking him downstairs where he’ll sit and eat breakfast whilst I get his sister up and dressed – this is often a bit of a battle so it’s nice for Little Man to enjoy breakfast in peace.

Our mornings are simple but the added light in Little Man’s room makes getting up and getting ready that little bit easier – and he loves looking out the window too!

  1. Aww he looks so cute in his little sleep bag 🙂 Ethan likes looking out of window lots too 🙂 x

  2. There’s nothing like a bit of morning light, it definitely helps me get up. Weirdly we don’t have curtains in our room, well we do, we have blinds, but we never close them as I love to wake up to the light. I am a little strange like that. He looks so cute in his little sleeping bag. x

  3. What a lovely photo and sounds like a lovely way for him to wake up. Must be so sweet to go in each morning and see him there waiting for you. Our twins are early risers but they do have a black out blind up in the morning, it is lovely to see the natural light in their rooms though xx

  4. We have also ditched the blackout and now Theo judges when to wake up by his gro clock. By the way, I was just thinking how cool your rotating list of blogs you love to read is and I saw myself pop up on it! Thank you so much! 🙂

    1. My pleasure 🙂 I try to update it whenever I find new ones. I think the rotating catches people’s attention so they’re more likely to have a read of others x

  5. Aw he looks adorable! I have to say I like the our room (which we still share with M) to be as dark as possible in the morning so as to eke out another few minutes of sleep… But I can see how it must be lovely to walk into a bright room and find such a cute sleepyhead!
