Me & Mine {April 2016}

Well, this has been one busy month! It has gone by in a blur, I really don’t know where it’s gone but I have loved every minute of it. This month has seen us cram in so much family time with a trip to see Disney on Ice and a weekend at Alton Towers. April has definitely been a good month.

Although Dave and I work opposite each other, and don’t get much time together, this month we have managed to grab time here and there with each other and the children. It’s been a month full of time – time as a family and time with the children and I think, two terms into a routine that also involves school, we are doing pretty well. We all miss LP when she is at school but we really do make the most of all the time that she’s at home too.

Me & Mine is always about our time together and even though we have had plenty of it this month we have still had to resort to a sofa photo, taken on one of the last days of the month. The trouble with lots of family time is that it often leaves the children exhausted and not in the mood for posed photos – I love our sofa photos though as they are just us, at home, relaxing.

And there we have it. Another month down, spring is well and truly here and if we thought April was exciting you should see what we have planned for May! Thanks April, you have been awesome!

  1. Lovely pics Donna. I’m going to get to meet you in the flesh too today me thinks. I can’t believe April is finished already. Man this life is goes quick, if you blink you miss it. Xxx

  2. I think that is the way when you work with someone- you assume you see enough of each other. Glad you managed some proper time though. Often sofa shots are my favourite – they are just of the family, no distraction you know? xx #Siblingsproject

  3. I can’t wait to see what May brings, as you have had a pretty amazing April! I only managed to get shots to join in for the first time yesterday, so mine too are sofa shots, but I agree they are sometimes the best ones x #MeandMine

  4. Ahh lovely photo!! From reading around it seems like loads of us have had hectic months, fingers crossed for a more chilled one in May – although yours sounds like a fun kind of hectic!

  5. We’re the same this month – quite a few days out together but our Me & Mine photo has ended up being an iPhone selfie on the sofa, and not even taken in April! You all look very relaxed in your picture and I always think this project is about capturing those normal family moments as well as the big days out.

  6. Aaah so good that you had a lovely month — and even BETTER that May is set to be better for you! We had a sofa pic this month — although I’m so ridiculously late with mine — have only just posted. I think sometimes unposed sofa pics are the best 🙂 #MeandMine
