It’s always nice to find new play spaces, role play centres or indoor soft plays to take the children to. Whether it’s somewhere where you can sit and have a cup of tea whilst the children let off steam or somewhere you can climb through the play structures with your children, watching them dress up and enjoy themselves.

It’s nice to have things to do that aren’t going to the same parks or playgrounds and indoor options for when the weather isn’t great too. 

We have tried out a few indoor play areas in Berkshire and are working through more soft play centres as they time goes on. So I thought it would be nice to share all the soft play areas we’ve found across Berkshire to give you some inspiration for your next rainy day soft play session or easy afternoon.

Monkey Mates – Old Forest Rd, Winnersh, Wokingham RG41 1HY

Children’s indoor and outdoor activity barn.

Play World at Bracknell Leisure Centre – Forest Spa, Bagshot Rd, Bracknell RG12 9SE

Bracknell Leisure Centre now boasts a brand-new soft play area! With the addition of two new party rooms and seating areas which will provide versatile spaces for birthdays and other celebrations. Have a coffee and a snack in the servery area whilst the kids are entertained! You are sure to have a time to remember!

Age: Up to age 12.

Cost: From adult £1.50, junior £9, senior £1.50, concession £1.50 and Under 4s £7.00

Tiny Town Cafe – 34 Market Place, Newbury RG14 5AG

Located in the heart of Newbury, Tony Town Cafe provide a fun and engaging environment for children to learn and develop through imaginative play. The centre is designed to promote creativity, social interaction and problem-solving skills, while providing a safe and stimulating space for children to explore.

Age: Up to age 6.

Cost: From Child £8.50, Adult £4.00, Non-Walker £4.50 and up to 6 months are free.

Mini Mundo – 29 William St, Windsor SL4 1BB

Mini Mundo is a children’s play centre in the heart of Windsor. They are a little world for little people, who celebrate the diversity of their customer base and local community, welcoming anyone to have fun, relax and meet new and old friends – proving it is a small world!

Age: Up to age 8.

Cost: From Adult £1.95, Baby (under 6 months) free, Child (6-18 months) £4.95 and Child (18 months+) £5.95

Cobbs Play Barn – Bath Rd, Hungerford RG17 0SP

A bespoke wooden indoor play barn; all the fun of an outdoor play area but without the worry of the weather. This is a fun, engaging, and educational environment for children and their parents/carers alike.  With two levels to discover and explore in a unique play area children can really let their imagination run wild.

Cost: From 0-11 months FREE, 1-3yrs £4, 4-8yrs £5, Adult £1

Active Tots – 5-7, Granary Court, Fair Oak Green, Reading RG7 2DL

Active Tots is a multi Award Winning, warm and friendly haven for babies and toddlers within a converted barn, set in beautiful rural surroundings. They provide a clean, safe and secure play environment which features a soft and padded area where the youngest visitors can roll, crawl, toddle, jump and climb in amongst the soft and brightly coloured play shapes and balls, promoting healthy exercise whilst having fun and meeting others! Combine this with the Role Play Village during the Autumn and Winter and the Outdoor Garden through the Spring and Summer, they always have plenty for your little ones to explore and enjoy!

Palmer Park Leisure Centre – Wokingham Rd, Reading RG6 1LF

The brand new Palmer Park leisure centre and stadium includes a sort play for children. The soft play will be sure to get your kids moving with its colourful slides, tunnels and more. It’s a great place to have a children’s party or simply meet friends. The three floor play area also has seating area for those who just want to watch!

Cost: From Under 2 £4.20, Over 2 £8.50. Prices include one adult. Additional Adult £5.70.

Wokingham Leisure Centre – Wellington Rd, Wokingham RG40 2AF

An adventure for your little ones! Let your little ones burn off some energy as they climb, jump and slide in the soft play area. As well as that, the soft play area is next to the Costa in our centre, so you can relax while the kids have some fun!

This 3-storey soft play area is just next to Costa in the centre, so you can relax while the kids burn off some energy.

The brand new Rivermead Leisure Centre includes a soft play for children. The soft play will be sure to get your kids moving with its colourful slides, tunnels and more. Northcroft Leisure Centre boasts a fantastic soft play area, ideal for keeping children of all ages entertained, as well as helping to expend some of their seemingly endless energy! They also offer soft play parties.

Oxygen Activeplay Reading – 8 Bridgewater Cl, Reading RG30 1JT

Where little ones under 5 can have big fun! Toddler Venture: It’s a scaled-down version of the main park designed just for tiny tots to play and grow. Bounce into fun with the mini trampettes! They add a touch of wobble to help little ones with balance and proprioception, prepping them for the bigger trampolines ahead.

Age: Soft play up to age 5 – other activities are for all ages.
