I absolutely love the english tradition of afternoon tea and it always feels like such a treat and a great way of celebrating an occasion. To make it even more of a celebration we love to opt for Bottomless Afternoon Teas where the champagne, prosecco or even gin and tonics are free flowing whilst we enjoy our traditional afternoon tea spread.
You really can’t beat afternoon tea – with all those little pastries, scones and the obligatory coronation chicken or smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches, all served on a three tier cake stand and with a glass of bubbly – or in this case, free flowing drinks – to accompany it.
I thought it would be useful to put together all the truly bottomless afternoon tea London options, ones where the alcohol is unlimited during the sitting time – which is usually between 90 minutes and two hours.
This includes bottomless prosecco afternoon teas, bottomless champagne afternoon teas and a couple of gin afternoon teas too as well as some wild card options at the end for something a little bit different in central London.

Bottomless Afternoon Tea Gift Experiences
The vast majority of places that offer bottomless afternoon tea also offer gift vouchers, making it a fantastic gift idea if you know someone that would love a decadent afternoon tea without having to set a date there and then.
Also, many experience day brands – Red Letter Days, Buyagift and Virgin Experience Days – have fantastic bottomless afternoon tea options that aren’t always available direct from the hotel, bar or restaurant. Here are some great examples:
- Bottomless Prosecco Afternoon Tea for Two at Mayfair Lounge & Grill at The Cavendish London
- Bottomless Afternoon Tea for Two at the 5* Montcalm Hotel, London
- Bottomless Champagne Afternoon Tea for Two at Brigit’s Bakery Covent Garden

I found many other afternoon teas across London that looked fantastic but didn’t offer the bottomless experience – although these may be offered seasonally. The Chocolate Cocktail Club London Afternoon Tea, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, The Cavendish Afternoon Tea and Mr Fogg’s Afternoon Tea looked absolutely fantastic for non-bottomless options and themed afternoon teas. There are also a lot of bottomless brunch London options – but without a cake in sight!
There’s always the option to have afternoon tea delivered too and this article might help:
I hope that helps you plan your next London adventure and book in a lovely, indulgent treat with your family or friends. If I’ve missed your favourite London Bottomless Afternoon Tea, please do get in touch and let me know. I’ll add more options as I come across them.
